![]() ![]() (The "specialized gaming" machines don't have the capabilities or the commercial software availability for proper commercial use. My Mac, which is a great gaming setup, does gaming as a relaxation after spending most of its time processing audio/video and graphics projects commercially. There are items that belong on a video game forum, and items that don’t. While this may not spell out every possible item to avoid, use common sense. I've never liked Bootcamp as it was never as smooth as Parallels in any applications for me and it doesn't access my Nvidia Video card as smoothly as a direct CPU link. In the spirit of keeping these forums a part of the World of Warships experience, we’ve established a list of things that are unacceptable to post on our forums. You need a machine capable of running 64 bit apps AND you need an OS that can run it as well. There are several problems getting everything to work on a Mac using the Wrapper. It does not work on El Capitan or lower, it does work on Sierra and better. Of course the default Parallels video interface is terrible and won't work with the wrappers anyway, so that only leaves Bootcamp as an option. Well not compatible with all Mac OS, the new ones use it just fine. If your Mac is equal, (CPU, RAM, Graphics capabilities, etc.) the Codeweaver wrapper actually runs faster (higher fps and better ping) and much smoother (less lag) than the Windows version through Parallels or Bootcamp. Many of the nay sayers from the Windows side don't bother to mention that they are using high performance "specialized" gaming rigs, that were built for and really aren't good for anything but gaming. Well I can't speak for those using lower end Macs, (MacBooks, base iMacs, etc.) but on my Mac there are none of the problems I am reading about here. ![]()
